Childhood Dreams:

From Hong Kong to Brooklyn . . .

Born in Hong Kong, I immigrated to the United States at age 11, settling with my family in the vibrant neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Surrounded by Scandinavian & Irish cultures, I was embraced by a community of great neighbors and lifelong friends. Growing up in Brooklyn during the 1980s shaped my appreciation for diverse cultures and American values.

Continuing Service:

Community Care

When I retired from stopping crime with the NYPD, I knew my community service was not tied to a paycheck.

Over the past decade, I have been deeply involved in my children’s education, volunteering in their schools as a member of the School Leadership Team, Title 1 Chairperson, Parent Advisory Council, and PTA President.

We must support our schools and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Careers Cleaning Crime:

Country & City

My love for America drove me to serve as a U.S. Marine for six years.

Following my military service, I moved to Bensonhurst in 1992, where I continued my commitment to public service by joining the New York Police Department in 1993.

Over the next 27 years, I fought crime & built strong relationships with a diverse array of individuals. Retiring as an NYPD Sergeant in 2020 was one of my greatest honors.

Why I'm Running:

Family.

As the father of two schoolgirls, I am committed to public service. I have worked tirelessly to instill the values of responsibility and respect that are central to the American Dream: personal responsibility and community improvement.

I'm motivated to come home to my family every night. Everything I do, I do for them.

And now, as your next State Senator, I'm running to ensure a better future for all families.
